PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Arizona Cardinals will play a familiar foe on the gridiron as part of the NFL’s new “Rivalries” series.
The team’s first game in the new series will be on Sept. 25, where the Red Birds will square up against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.
The “Rivalries” series is a new program in partnership with Nike. Over the next four seasons, NFL rivalry games will feature specially designed Nike uniforms and fan gear. The Cardinals will unveil the new swag on Aug. 28.
The Cardinals and our NFC West rivals are among the first wave of eight teams in the new series. Also participating in this year’s program is the AFC East division.
Each participating team will wear a unique “Rivalries” kit with designs that highlight the community. The “Rivalries” uniforms will then be included in the team’s uniform lineup for three years, alongside existing alternate kits.
“Rivalries” jerseys and apparel will be available for fans to purchase online and in-store at the Cardinals team shop and Scheel’s.
