NASHVILLE, Tenn. – JC Latham spent three season with the Alabama Crimson Tide, becoming the starting right offensive tackle in 2022 and 2023. After an outstanding college career, Latham was drafted as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.

Upon joining the Titans, Latham was moved to left tackle, where he remained for his entire rookie season. Latham played a total of 1,094 snaps across 17 games, making him one of only nine NFL players who didn’t miss any of their team’s offensive snaps during the 2024 season.

As the 2025-26 NFL season approaches, Latham will transition back to right tackle. To ease this transition, Latham has lost 33 pounds, going from 370 to 337, with a goal of reaching 325, according to The Tennessean. This effort aims to improve his conditioning and performance overall.

The left tackle position will now be filled by Dan Moore, who started 66 regular-season and three playoff games for the Pittsburgh Steelers over the past four seasons. Moore joined the Titans in March.

With the Titans aiming to improve their team, the decision to move Latham back to his college position came after coach Brian Callahan considered the switch as a way to create a stronger offensive line.

“I can’t tell you the likelihood of that happening,” Callahan said during the 2025 NFL Combine in February, “but certainly wouldn’t box ourself in to not signing a good player because we have a guy at left tackle. How do we find the best two tackles we can find? If we have to move him, we’ll move him.”

The Titans have made several impressive moves to elevate their offense this season. They selected quarterback Cam Ward as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and signed Kevin Zeitler, who has 197 regular-season and seven playoff starts over his 13 NFL seasons, to a one-year deal. Zeitler will play left guard, with Peter Skoronski, the 11th pick in the 2023 draft, returning at right guard. Center Lloyd Cushenberry III will also return after recovering from a season-ending Achilles tear in the eighth game of the 2024 campaign, and Latham returning to a position where he previously excelled. With these additions and Latham’s transition, the Titans could have one of the top offenses this season and a legitimate shot at the postseason.
