JACKSONVILLE – He’s working, smiling and feeling good.

The Travis Hunter Experience is taking hold around the Jaguars early in 2025 Training Camp. It’s a unique experience in NFL circles, and absolutely a noteworthy one. And Hunter is making this much clear:

He’s enjoying it, and he likes the direction.

“It has been great,” he said.

Hunter, a rookie wide receiver/defensive back selected No. 2 overall by the Jaguars in the 2025 NFL Draft, is one of the NFL’s biggest stories entering the ’25 season. He spoke to the media for the first time in ’25 camp following Day 3’s practice at the Miller Electric Center Friday, sharing thoughts on his practice approach as he prepares to become the first NFL player in nearly three decades to play an extensive offensive and defensive role.

If preparing for the role is tricky and taxing, Hunter doesn’t indicate as much.

“He’s pretty unfazed by some of this stuff,” Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen said.

Hunter, after practicing exclusively on offense in the first two practice days of ’25 camp, worked exclusively on defense Friday. He participated in 23 plays Friday – 19 in 11-on-11 work and four in seven-on-seven work.
