New York Giants latest news as star Russell Wilson has opened up on how he and his wife, Ciara, feel about New York City ever since the move earlier this year

Russell Wilson has revealed all on how he and his wife feel about their new home in New York City.
The star quarterback made the switch to the Giants earlier this year on a one-year deal worth $10.5 million, bringing an end to a short spell at the Pittsburgh Steelers in March. It marks the fourth move of his career so far, after previous spells at the Denver Broncos and nine years in Seattle—and he’s on on the move once more.
Wilson has been married to R&B star Ciara for nearly a decade. The pair started dating back in 2015 before they got engaged and tied the knot in a ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England a year later. They share two daughters, Sienna, eight, and Amora, one, as well as son Win, who’s five-years-old. He also has a stepson from Ciara’s previous relationship with popular American rapper, Future.

But it turns out the move to the Big Apple is ideal for all of the family, especially given his partner’s love of music. Wilson gave the world an insight into just how they’re all feeling about NYC after his first practice with the Giants during the week.
He said: “I’ve been in New York a bunch in the past, I have a lot of family that have been here and lived here and stuff like that, but we love it here. It’s just a great city. New York is amazing, Jersey as well.
“I think what I love is the fans, the sports culture. Obviously for Ciara, the music culture is great too, and I think that’s great, but I think just for me, I’ve always been a fast-paced guy. I don’t know if everybody knows me really well, I’m constantly just highly focused, I was always taking 18 credits in college, playing football, baseball. I just like being occupied.”

Wilson continued: “And at the same time, the number one part of it all is the game that I love. That’s the best part about it. I get to do what I love to do and these guys love doing it together and we’re spending a lot of time together.
“So, these moments, like this training camp, is the part where you love those bonding moments at the hotel, the bonding early in the mornings, the late at night, the extra film, that time that you spend together talking ball. I mean that’s the part that you forever remember.”
The Giants star was then asked by reporters whether the move to New York was at all motivated by his spouse. He remarked: “No, she loves New York. I love New York too, but it was all about ball.”
Giants head coach Brian Daboll has confirmed Wilson will be his starting quarterback going into the 2025 season. This is despite heavy competition in his position, with the team signing Jameis Winston in free agency, picking up Jaxson Dart in the first round of this year’s draft, while Tommy DeVito remains on the active roster.
Wilson famously triumphed at the 2014 Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks. He started 11 games for the Steelers last season.
