During the two-minute drill, Tyrod Taylor did well moving the ball into scoring territory, connecting with wide receiver Garrett Wilson on multiple occasions. Facing a 10-7 deficit in an end-of-half situation, the offense was inside the 10-yard-line with just under 30 seconds remaining. But safety Andre Cisco ended the drill in dramatic fashion, intercepting Taylor’s pass intended for receiver Tyler Johnson in the end zone.

“That’s teaching on both parts. … I thought Tyrod did a hell of a job actually driving the guys down, and the guys understanding that situation,” Glenn said. … “I thought both sides understood the situation, operated like they wanted to. At the end of the half, Tyrod’s got to make a better decision on that. He knows that.”

The Jets offensive line leaned on the defensive line at times on the ground in the red zone as Breece Hall picked up a pair of TD runs.

“I’m excited,” said LG John Simpson. “I’m really excited. I love running the ball, man, that’s like my strong suit I think. So, I’m excited for the opportunity to come out here and just run the ball. All the other stuff will come, man, and I think if we can run the ball, we will win a lot of games.”
