Despite some early, disappointing injuries on the defensive side of the ball, the Arizona Cardinals are getting very comfortable on the offensive side of the ball.

Left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. kept things light on Sunday, sharing one of the inside jokes the offense has already installed regarding the development of wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

“Marv looks 6’6″, 260, pure muscle. The screen says 6’3″ 220, but they haven’t been up close,” he said. “It’s kind of a joke when he comes in the huddle. We say, ‘we’re in 12 personnel,’ and he’s about to run out and I’m like, ‘no, no we’re kidding. It’s just our joke that we do.’”

The joke is a not-so-subtle jab at Harrison Jr.’s increased height and weight being more akin to a tight end than a wideout.

But early indications show that Harrison Jr. is moving just as quick and fast as ever, even with the extra lbs.

“He’s a beast. He’s all about his business. So it’s not surprising to see that at all,” said Johnson Jr.

While in training camp, the joke might be all fun and games, Johnson Jr. said the guys know where to draw the line.

“We’re not going to try that in the game. It might mess up our timing!”
