“He’s seen a lot of great things,” he said. “He’s got a lot of great ideas and he’s a guy that you kind of lean on when making decisions about what we want to do as a team as well. So I think he’s definitely one of the top leaders on our football team.”

For Kupp, one thing he’s looking forward to is the offense reaching its full potential and he’s confident it’s heading in the right direction.

“As training camp goes on, there’s going to be a point when all the playbook’s in, right? And there’s going to be a point where it’s all down and you’re like, ‘Hey, we’ve been doing this for a while now’ and now plays are recycling. You’re like, ‘Hey, I’ve seen this play before I’ve done this. I’ve run this a couple times now against different looks’ and it’s like, ‘Hey, this is when things started to get real comfortable’. Now you’re hearing plays in the huddle and you’re not thinking about where you’re lining up. You’re thinking about leaving the huddle saying, ‘man, I hope we get Cover 4 because I know exactly what I want to get done on this’ and that’s where you want to get to and will all these guys. We’re going to get there. It is about continuing to challenge yourself, continue to think that way and push yourself to try to get there as quick as possible. But we’re going to get there very soon and you’ve seen, there’s glimpses of stuff that’s really fun to see when we’re watching the film because we’ve got guys that want to do that.”
