Kyle Pitts, Tyler Allgeier headline list of Falcons players set to enter free agency in 2026

The Atlanta Falcons are rightfully focused on the upcoming NFL season, but the team could look much different in 2026. Several key players, including tight end Kyle Pitts, right tackle Kaleb McGary and linebacker Kaden Elliss, are set to hit free agency once the season is over.

While the job of the players is to stay in the moment, the front office always needs to be focused on the future. The Falcons will enter the 2026 offseason with 26 free agents (full list below). General manager Terry Fontenot has been impressed with the players’ ability to stay focused in spite of looming contract questions.

“There really is an unselfishness that they know that if they keep their head down, stay focused and do their job, then things are going to go well, whether here or somewhere else,” said Fontenot during his recent press conference.

The fifth-year general manager also said he was pleased with Pitts’ progress thus far at training camp. The former top-five pick has been a standout through the first three camp practices.

“He showed up in great shape and with his mentality,” Fontenot said of Pitts. “So just continuing to build chemistry with Mike and with his teammates, we love where Kyle is right now.”
