Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell gave updates at training camp Tuesday afternoon in Eagan. O’Connell also offered condolences to those affected by a recent tragedy involving the NFL community, calling it a “senseless” event and expressing support for the league office and impacted families.

Defensively, O’Connell is excited about the chemistry forming between Jonathan Greenard, Javon Hargrave, Jonathan Allen. Rookie linebacker Dallas Turner continues to impress, and O’Connell noted the group’s potential to be a game-changing unit.
Offensively, with star wide receiver Justin Jefferson sidelined, Jordan Addison, Jalen Nailor, and others have stepped up. O’Connell also highlighted the progress of newcomers Tim Jones and Rondale Moore.
Jefferson, though not practicing, remains a vocal leader and active presence at camp. O’Connell said his rehab is progressing well and that the team is being smart with his return timeline.
