Henry County High School assistant football coach Michael Norman (center) barks out commands to a group of the team’s linebackers during the team’s first evening practice on Monday at Patriot Stadium. HCHS began preseason practice on July 14, but had to practice early in the mornings for a week because of the intense heat. The Patriots, led by first-year head coach Josh Wolfe, will play their first scrimmage of the preseason Thursday night at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis. The annual “Meet the Patriots” tailgating event is set for Aug. 7 at the high school.
