Former Vikings first-round pick and wide receiver turned running back, Cordarrelle Patterson, took to social media to announce that the Steelers had released him. The 34-year-old NFL veteran has been around the league in recent years but emerged during his time in Atlanta with the Falcons as a reliable option out of the backfield and in gadget play designs.
His versatility in the return game also makes a return to Minnesota interesting, as it is an aspect of the Vikings that could use a boost. If they are able to bring him in for that contribution alone, it would be something worth entertaining for Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and his team.
