THE MIAMI Dolphins defense is devastated by injuries.
During Saturday’s practice, Dolphins starting cornerback Kader Kohou went down with a knee injury.

On Wednesday it was confirmed that Kohou tore his ACL, ending his 2025 season.
This adds yet another blemish to the Dolphins’ secondary group, which is now completely obliterated.
Last season, the Dolphins started five players in their secondary:
Cornerback Jalen RamseyCornerback Kendall FullerCornerback Kader KohouSafety Jevon HollandSafety Jordan Poyer
As of Wednesday, Ramsey was traded, Fuller was released, Kohou is out for the season, Holland left in free agency, and Poyer is still a free agent.
That means an entire position group for the Dolphins will be completely new in 2025.
It’s a nearly unprecedented development for the Dolphins, and certainly not a positive one.
Miami, who hopes to be a playoff contender, is entering the season now with likely the worst passing defense in the NFL.
The team’s starting cornerbacks now likely line up as Jack Jones, Storm Duck, and Mike Hilton.
Dolphins fans recognize this is a big issue and have shared their thoughts on social media.

“8-9 incoming,” one fan said.
“They sucked last year, but losing Kader a week into TC is tough, so it begins,” another fan said.
“Might as well tank at this point,” a third fan said.
“They are going to be so so bad,” a fourth fan said.
“Last place team in AFC East this year,” a fifth fan said.
NFL important dates 2025 season

The Dolphins are going to have to make a move to help their situation if they hope to compete.
Some notable cornerbacks are still free agents and could be brought in to help.
Stephon Gilmore, Rasul Douglas, and Asante Samuel Jr. are all still available.
Miami could also swing a trade if they are desperate enough for secondary help.
