Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix got the star treatment on Wednesday.

And he deserves it.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Colleen Wolfe were at Broncos training camp practice, and they brought the Broncos quarterback over for a chat.

The full interview is worth your time, including Bo Nix on why he was so excited to get drafted by Sean Payton. But his answer to Rapoport about expectations for the 2025 Broncos was probably the best.

That part starts at the 1:12 mark below:

Asked if Denver now has a little bit of a target on their back, Bo Nix agreed with that assessment. The Broncos shattered their over / under win total last year, going 10-7 after the preseason line was set at just 5.5 victories.

“The expectations are definitely higher, but we like that, that means you’re a good football team. That means you have something to play for. We’ve put together a really good football team, we’ve added some pieces on both sides of the football. We really feel like in all three phases of the game we got better this offseason,” Nix said.

On offense, the Broncos gave Nix new weapon in tight end Evan Engram, running backs RJ Harvey and J.K. Dobbins, plus wide receiver Pat Bryant. The defense certainly got better in free agency and the NFL Draft as well.

And even though training camp is only about a week old, you can tell Bo Nix is ready for the real football to begin.

“We’re excited to really start playing other teams. And it’s fun to compete against each other at practice, but you never really know until you start the season. But the expectations are definitely higher, but that’s a good thing. It means you’re doing something right,” Nix said.

The Broncos, Bo Nix and head coach Sean Payton are definitely doing something right.

Now, it’s all about following last year’s surprise success up with another playoff appearance, and this time hopefully winning at least one game or maybe more.
