On Wednesday, Pat McAfee brought his show to Pittsburgh Steelers training camp and went live in front of the biggest crowd ever at a camp practice. McAfree interviewed head coach Mike Tomlin and they talked about the team’s recruitment of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

“It was kind of a bromance, you know what I mean,” Tomlin said, when asked about the recruitment process in the offseason.

Tomlin then went on to absolutely just heap praise on Rodgers. and what he brings to the Steelers.

“He has an absolute love affair with the game of football. There is just no component of the game or the process in the time I’ve been around him that he does not enjoy,” Tomlin said.

It’s a little unusual for there to be so much hype and fanfare surrounding a new starting quarterback when you understand that no matter what happens, Rodgers is a one-and-done in Pittsburgh. It makes it feel less like Rodgers is the Steelers’ starting quarterback and more like Rodgers as a rental. But if the Steelers win the Super Bowl, none of that will matter.
