We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals, and we are less than six weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 38 days away.
As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let’s look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals.

Who has worn No. 38?
Cardinals players to wear No. 38
With a full training camp roster, the Cardinals actually have two players currently wearing No. 38. One is kicker Chad Ryland, in his second season with the team. The other is recently signed cornerback Steven Gilmore, the younger brother of Stephon Gilmore.
CB Steven Gilmore (2025-?)
RB Andre Ellington (2013-2017)
S Michael Zordich (1989-1993)
DB/RB Bill Triplett (1962-1966)
OL Frederick Shook (1941)
OL Andy Sabados (1939-1940)
OL Elwyn Dunstan (1938-1939)
No. 38 has not been super impactful. Maybe Ryland will become that guy. Ellington was solid but supposed to be better. Zordich was a decent player and Nelson lasted a decade.
