According to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Atlanta Falcons worked out cornerback C.J. Henderson on Thursday afternoon and are contemplating whether or not to sign the former first-round pick.
Henderson was selected ninth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2020, but his career has yet to live up to his draft status. The 26-year-old played just 10 games in Jacksonville before getting traded to the Carolina Panthers. The former Florida Gator spent three seasons in Carolina (2021-2023) but did not appear in a regular season game in 2024.

Over his five NFL seasons, Henderson has appeared in 49 games (32 starts), recording three interceptions, 16 passes defended, two forced fumbles and one sack. Last season, the former Florida Gator signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers but was placed on the injured reserve list without playing a game.
The Falcons signed safety Henry Black and released wide receiver Makai Polk from their 90-man training camp roster on Thursday morning. Atlanta also worked out former Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Jordan Whitehead on Wednesday as the team looks to add more secondary depth.
