Two SMU Mustangs — safety Isaiah Nwokobia and placekicker Collin Rogers — have received preseason All-ACC honors ahead of the 2025 season.
Nwokobia, a former Dallas Skyline talent, enters his fifth year at SMU as a veteran leader coming off his best season yet. He was second on the team in tackles with a career-high 100 and added three interceptions for a conference-best defense that led the Mustangs all the way to the ACC Championship game and a berth in the College Football Playoff.
Rogers, the Mustangs’ all-time points leader, is coming off a 2024 season when he set the single-season program record for field goal makes. He went 24 of 33 last year and made a career long 55-yarder against Louisville. He named an All-American by several publications last season, including first team honors from the Football Writers Association of America and Sports Illustrated.
In addition to Nwokobia and Rogers, Mustangs quarterback Kevin Jennings was third in the preseason ACC player of the year poll. He received five first-place votes and came in behind Clemson QB Cade Klubnik and Georgia Tech QB Haynes King.
