The NFL rumor mill is red hot after Terry McLaurin’s official trade request — and a Pittsburgh Steelers AFC North rival may be ready to pounce.

Hours after McLaurin’s trade request made headlines, fellow Ohio State alum and Browns CB Denzel Ward took to social media to recruit his former Buckeye teammate to Cleveland.

“My Ohio State brother Terry McLaurin would look fire in a Cleveland Browns jersey,” Ward said on X. “I’m just saying.”

The two Buckeyes played together from 2015-2017, before Ward declared for the 2018 NFL Draft — with McLaurin following suit one year later.

It remains to be seen whether the Commanders would even entertain McLaurin’s request less than 40 days before the start of the regular season, but if contract talks are dead in the water, the Steelers would be wise to blow Washington away with an impressive trade package — one the Browns couldn’t compete with.
