The Cowboys have dealt with multiple injuries to cornerbacks during this year’s camp.

Recently, Caelen Carson hyperextended his knee, which will hold him out for an extended period of time.

Because of that, cornerback Christian Matthew was signed to fill in for him.

“Caelen Carson suffered a hyperextended knee and could miss 4-6 weeks, robbing him of valuable camp + preseason reps— the Cowboys reuniting Matt Eberflus with Christian Matthew for hopes of aiding the CB room’s ills,” DallasCowboys.com’s Patrik Walker reported.

In a subsequent move, Harmon was released from the Cowboys’ roster to make room for Matthew.

Harmon entered the NFL in the 2019 Draft via a sixth-round selection by the Washington Commanders.

He had a decent season in his rookie year, appearing in all 30 games, catching 30 passes for 365 yards.

However, Harmon tore his ACL before the 2020 season, forcing him to miss the entire year.

He was subsequently released by the Commanders in 2021.

After being released Harmon bounced around the different spring leagues.

Can the Dallas Cowboys make it back to the playoffs this year?

He spent time with the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL in March of 2023 and later signed with the DC Defenders of the XFL in October that year.

Harmon earned a reserve/futures contract with the Cowboys last year, spending 2024 on the team’s practice squad.

However, he ultimately failed to make the team this season.

Fans were sad to see Harmon miss out on another opportunity and shared their thoughts on social media.
