WORCESTER, Mass. — Tim McKone of 98.5 The Sports Hub says the Patriots training camp is much different this year under new coach Mike Vrabel.
“Complete 180 from the way that this camp felt over the last two years,” McKone said. “And being with Scott Zolak, the former Patriots quarterback that I do radio with, he’s never seen a training camp where you’re constantly in motion the way that they are. There’s always something going on and there’s really no breaks in between, you are running to the next drill. They’re constantly, you’re constantly, in motion so it feels different. The operation is tight. There is no hanging around in this one. It’s pretty much the whole time and it’s organized, so it does feel completely different. It gives you kind of faith in the coaching staff that they kind of figured out — at least the Patriots organization figured out — a coaching staff here that really kinda has their act buttoned up.”
Bill Belichick and then Jarod Mayo served as the team’s head coaches the past two seasons.
