VIDEO REPORT: Saints WR Mason Tipton ready to be more than a camp superstar

You know, every camp there’s always *** camp superstar. Last year it was receiver Mason T Tipton. And this training camp, guess what, it’s Mason T Tipton once again he’s continuing to make all these big catches down the field, but it has to translate to actually getting on the playing field during the regular season. He didn’t get *** chance to really play that much last year. So one thing he did during the offseason to help himself get on the field as well get bigger. Coming from last year, um, to this year, you know, I spent *** lot of time last year focusing on the 40 and um kinda. You know, as far as pre-draft stuff, and you know, I think. Um, going into my first real NFL offseason, I was able to spend *** lot of time kind of focusing on the body, making sure I was strong, you know, football strong, not just, um, you know, track speed fast like I was last year, so, you know, getting stronger in my legs, stronger in my upper body, just so that I could withstand the physical, um, you know, physical challenges of being in the NFL. Tipton can withstand those challenges now that he’s 187 pounds, but if you look at him, he’s pretty much the same type of receiver as Chris Olave, Rashid Shahid, and Brandon Cook. So how does he. Fit in with those guys. The best way to say it is we compliment each other because we’re all fast, you know what I mean? So, um, and because we all can run the, the, the whole route tree. So I think, you know, as, as, as training camp goes on, as the season goes on, you know, the, the more definitive roles will, you know, start to show, but you know I, I, I think we’re going in the right direction. Tipton is from Akron, Ohio and ended up at, yes, Yale. How did that happen? He said that’s thanks to his parents. They raised him right. He went on *** visit and loved it there.
