Shane Lemieux is rejoining the New Orleans Saints.

The former Oregon offensive lineman signed with the Saints on Saturday. Lemieux played in seven games and made four starts last season for New Orleans and also spent time on the injured reserve list.

He was with the Saints during minicamp in June and tried out with the Miami Dolphins in July.

New Orleans placed guard Nick Saldiveri on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move.

Lemieux’s 338 offensive snaps last season were his most since 2020, when he played 504 snaps over 12 games with nine starts as a rookie with the New York Giants.

In five seasons, Lemieux has appeared in 25 games with 16 starts at both left guard (12) and center (four), but injuries have plagued his NFL career. He suffered a patella tendon injury that limited him to one game in 2021, a toe injury caused him to miss 16 games in 2022, a torn biceps knocked him out after four games in 2023 and a toe injury limited his action last season.
