The 2025 NFL Schedule will be released on May 14th, and the Buccaneers could be in store for a few primetime games against formidable foes.
In 2024, the Bucs played four primetime games, going 1-3. Their lone win came against the Dallas Cowboys, while they lost to the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, and the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night.

Hopefully, if they get primetime games in 2025, they have a better record than going 1-3. Here are some of the games we think could be worthy of a primetime slot.
At home against the Atlanta Falcons
The Buccaneers and Falcons had two electrifying games in 2024, with the Bucs losing both. One was a questionable call on a missed facemask, and the other was a failing defense. The NFL could pair the two back up in a primetime spot as they clash for the NFC South title.
The Eagles and the Buccaneers have met quite a few times in recent years, both in the regular season and in the playoffs. The Bucs have won most of the matchups, but the Eagles were down their top WR AJ Brown in two of them. The defending champions will look to even the score. These would be two high-powered offenses on display.
Like the Eagles, the Buccaneers, and Lions have had a few matchups in recent years, but the playing field is more even. The Lions edged the Bucs in the wildcard playoff game in 2023, and the Bucs punched back in week 2 of the 2024 NFL season, knocking the Lions off despite missing multiple starters in a dogfight. Round 3 would be an electric tiebreaker against two of the NFC’s top teams.
