2. Tailback Isiah Pacheco hauled in a pass deep down the sideline during 7-on-7 drills.

Patrick Mahomes and tailback Isiah Pacheco linked up for one of the top plays of the morning when Mahomes unleashed a beautiful, over-the-shoulder pass into the arms of Pacheco deep down the sideline.

The play, which took place during 7-on-7 drills, covered around 50 or so yards through the air.

3. Wide receiver Jason Brownlee had an excellent practice.

Brownlee, who joined the Chiefs as a “Reserve/Future” signee back in February, compiled an impressive day with multiple big-time catches deep down the field.

His first noteworthy play took place during 1-on-1 drills early in practice when he made a leaping grab amidst tight coverage. Brownlee timed his jump perfectly and somehow came down with the ball despite the presence of a leaping defender.

He then logged multiple impressive grabs during 11-on-11 red zone drills before tallying another noteworthy catch during a 7-on-7 period.

The 6-foot-3, 202-pound Brownlee appeared in seven games for the New York Jets in 2023 after making the team as an undrafted free agent that summer. He caught five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in that time. Brownlee then spent the 2024 season on the Jets’ practice squad and did not appear in a game.

Before jumping to the NFL, Brownlee racked up 135 catches for 2,144 yards and 21 touchdowns in three seasons at Southern Mississippi from 2020-22. Now in camp with Kansas City, he’s certainly making the most of his opportunity.

4. Defensive backs Jaden Hicks and Nazeeh Johnson each made a standout play on Sunday.

On the other side of the ball, a few defensive players who stood out on Sunday were safety Jaden Hicks, who logged an interception during 11-on-11 drills, and cornerback Nazeeh Johnson, who tallied a leaping pass-breakup during a 7-on-7 period.

Johnson has made several plays throughout camp so far.
