It popped into the Baltimore night sky with bone-crunching affect. It’s one thing to hit an NFL Pro Bowler. It’s quite another to hit one twice your size.
It was late in the fourth quarter when the Baltimore Ravens began driving against the Eagles defense during a November 2025 Game. Down 21–12 in the fourth quarter against Philadelphia — the Ravens faced a third and long. Running back Derrick Henry swung out of the backfield, caught a pass from Baltimore Quarterback Lamar Jackson — and began to square himself to turn upfield. Before he could start his momentum — Henry was lifted up and submarined by rookie DB Cooper DeJean — who dropped the Ravens star immediately.

The collision was heard around the NFL — and replayed across Social Media millions of times. It’s a play that elevated DeJean into mythical status. Earlier in the season — DeJean had tackled Bengals star receiver Ja’marr Chase in the backfield on a fourth and one — but this hit brought throngs of chants from Eagles fans of “Coop” for the rest of the season and soon became a highlight forever embedded into the Super Bowl run.
This week — that collision was re-tweeted by the NFL — and streamed once again onto the computers and mobile devices of thousands of fans. and DeJean was ranked the number sixty NFL Player of 2024–2025. It’s a tremendous replay to be loved by football-starved fans anticipating a fall season of monster hits. The Ravens and Eagles don’t play each other in 2025 this season — the Eagles have plenty of other high-powered opponents who will no doubt experience the power of thunderous hits from one of the NFL’s youngest secondaries.
Derrick Henry even replied with “Lol, y’all funny.”
