New York Giants legend Tiki Barber is joining his former team’s radio broadcast, and is thereby out at CBS.
The Giants announced on Wednesday that Barber, a three-time Pro Bowler for the team, will join WFAN’s radio broadcast this NFL season. Barber will serve as a pregame and postgame co-host for the station where he already hosts a daily weekday radio show, Evan & Tiki, at 2 p.m. ET.
Perhaps more importantly, however, the move means Barber will not return as a game analyst for the NFL on CBS. Barber has called NFL games for the network since 2019. Most recently, the former running back was part of the three-man booth with play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon and fellow analyst Jason McCourty.
Sports media reporter Andrew Marchand confirmed the news on Wednesday.

It’s unclear whether Barber’s move to radio was by choice, or if CBS opted not to renew his contract. Since Barber was part of a three-man booth, the network can easily slide McCourty into a solo analyst role without needing to replace Barber.

This organization has meant so much to me, professionally and personally,” Barber said in a press release. “The Giants have a long history of legendary broadcasters and Wellington Mara always told them to call it like they see it because our fans know better. I look forward to providing analysis and insight that Giants fans appreciate.”
No matter what ultimately caused the move, Barber has found himself a familiar landing spot at WFAN.
