Jared Allen was the Kansas City Chiefs‘ 2004 third-round draft pick, beginning his Pro Football Hall of Fame career in outstanding fashion. Although he spent significant time and success with the Minnesota Vikings, his road to Canton, Ohio, started in Kansas City.

Last Saturday, Allen unveiled his bust and shared an emotional speech at the annual ceremony.

“We knew he was a special man with special talent.” Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said in a statement, “While wearing a Chiefs uniform, Jared was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team, he reached the first of his five Pro Bowls, he was named First Team All-Pro, and he led the league in sacks for the first time. He left an indelible mark on Chiefs history, and the entire organization is excited to celebrate his induction in Canton.”
