The Seattle Seahawks just wrapped up another intense week of training camp practice. Saturday’s session was held at Lumen Field for their annual Football Fest event. The main takeaway from another week of practice is that rookie defensive back Nick Emmanwori continues to dominate.

Emmanwori had an interception at Friday’s practice. The second-round rookie out of South Carolina spun the football in celebration, and teammate Devon Witherspoon joined the festivities by kicking the ball into the crowd, per Ari Horton. Emmanwori had three interceptions last week, and this one came during a crucial redzone period.

Emmanwori continues to make game-changing plays. He’s arguably been as consistent and impactful as any player at Seahawks training camp. Head coach Mike Macdonald continues to find creative ways to implement him on his first-team defense.

“We keep giving him stuff and he keeps executing,” Macdonald said. “You have to be careful that you don’t take the playmaker out of the player. That’s something that is on my mind. He just keeps learning and keeps executing and keeps making plays. He’s just a really fun player to coach.”

Coach Macdonald has done an outstanding job putting Emmanwori in positions to make momentum-swinging plays. Emmanwori continues to thrive at training camp. He’ll be incredibly fun to watch in the preseason opener later this week.
