ESPN Hires ‘Stunning’ Social Media Influencer For 2025 NFL Season originally appeared on The Spun.
ESPN is expanding its content for the 2025 NFL season by hiring Katie Feeney, one of the most popular content creators on TikTok.Â

Feeney, a graduate of Penn State University, currently has more than 14 million social media followers. She has experience covering the NFL considering she spent the 2022 season as a social media correspondent for the Washington Commanders.
That being said, Feeney is about to take on a much bigger challenge at ESPN. For starters, she’ll be tasked with creating vertical short-form videos for the network. She’ll also make appearances on shows such as “Monday Night Countdown” and “College GameDay.”
Suffice to say, ESPN has big plans for Feeney.

“Katie has built an impressive and authentic connection with sports fans by blending access, personality, and Gen-Z culture in a way that feels fresh and engaging,” ESPN said in a press release. “Her perspective and creativity are a perfect match for how we’re reimagining coverage to meet fans where they are, and we can’t wait to see the energy she brings to ESPN’s daily coverage and live event moments.”

Feeney has already covered marquee events like the Super Bowl and the Oscars, but that doesn’t diminish her excitement to be part of the ESPN family.

“From capturing Penn State games on the sidelines to now joining the biggest platform in sports, this journey has been incredible,” Feeney said in a statement. “I grew up watching SportsCenter with my family, and I’m proud to now be part of the storytelling that brings ESPN to millions of fans around the world.”
We’ll see if Feeney can elevate ESPN’s social and digital content over the next few months.
