While there has been some bad news on the injury front since the start of camp, let’s brighten things up today by taking a look at some of the good news.
I’ve cut some videos (original footage mostly from Detroit Lions Instagram) highlighting some recovering players who are looking very strong in training camp. Sit back, smile, and enjoy.
Aidan Hutchinson – left tib/fib fracture (October 13, 2024)
Hutchinson from all accounts has been looking fantastic in camp. Here he is spinning off that left leg to get to the QB. Physically, he appears to be all the way back.
Amon-Ra St. Brown – offseason knee surgery
The surgery is suspected to be a cartilage cleanup. Cartilage damage can impact speed and burst. These energetic videos from camp suggest that his mind and body are feeling great.

-Likely arthroscopic cartilage clean-up
-Short-term concerns have been alleviated as he is looking great in camp⬇️

After missing four weeks with the knee injury, Montgomery returned for the playoff game but didn’t quite look like himself. In camp, he’s looking back to form by displaying hard, sharp cuts off the right leg.

Last season, Robertson was having a very strong year until his injury in the playoffs. He hasn’t seen game action since, so it’s great to see him landing hard on that left arm with no problems.

Wow. Great over the shoulder catch, 2 feet in, controls the ball, and lands directly on that left humerus. No problems 💪. pic.twitter.com/BUonZprk3C

TeSlaa was limited at OTA and has been wearing a left knee sleeve in camp for unknown reasons. That didn’t slow him down at all during the first preseason game when he heaped coal into his hype train.
Isaac TeSlaa Preseason Game 1 highlights
-Back to back plays showing off a huge target with speed and burst after the catch
-Has been wearing left knee sleeve in training camp which doesn’t seem to be slowing him down
