Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift could easily be seen as the biggest celebrity couple on the planet.
A future Hall of Famer and Grammy winner makes for quite the duo, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t like regular couples, and defensive backs coach David Merritt just aired out something rather funny online.
Merritt posted on X two photos of himself and Kelce, with the caption: “I’m going on Year 7️⃣ with arguably the Greatest to do it! His name will ring in Canton soon!”
But wait there’s more.
Merritt then posted a comment, which has now been deleted, that referenced a shirt that Kelce was supposed to give to Taylor, but didn’t in typical Travis fashion.
“Sooo Taylor said you never gave her her shirt…She said “Give it to me next time and Not Travis” I cried laughing 🤣,” Merritt posted.
This was in reference to Merritt’s wife, who created a clothing brand called gearbyfuzion, and Taylor was supposed to get a shirt, but she didn’t.
So, the humorous jibe at Kelce will surely get fans talking about the power couple, and it just goes to show that it doesn’t matter how big of a celebrity you are, sometimes, you are just like everyone else.
With Kelce embarking on what we think will be his final NFL season, he’ll have Swift by his side with the musician not touring in 2025.
So it has the potential to be quite the year for Travis and Taylor…as long as he’s not asked to pass on things meant for Swift.
