QUINCY — The curtain rose officially about 1 p.m. Tuesday on the Quincy University football season.

The Hawks, who moved into the dorms Monday, hit the field at QU Stadium on Tuesday for an energetic, three-hour practice that set the tone for what lies ahead. The Hawks are coming off a 6-4 campaign in Jason Killday’s first season as head coach and return several key pieces on both sides of the ball, including first-team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference linebacker Brock Inman and second-team All-GLVC offensive lineman Nate Smith.
