LAS VEGAS, NV (KWQC) – The Las Vegas Raiders have great expectations for rookie cornerback Darien Porter. The former Bettendorf and Iowa State star is listed as one of three starting cornerbacks for the Raiders on the team’s first depth chart.
The Raiders drafted porter in the 3rd round of this year’s NFL draft. Porter was an All-State performer for the Bettendorf football program in 2018. He was also a track standout winning two State Titles in the 400 meters. His time of 46.99 in 2019 broke the Class 4A state record and was the first sub-47.00 400 in Iowa prep history.
The Raiders first preseason game is Thursday night in Seattle. Kickoff is at 9:00 with the game being broadcast on the NFL Network.
