It doesn’t sound like Verse’s injury is anything to worry about
The Los Angeles Rams were given another injury scare on Thursday when star pass rusher Jared Verse left practice early after banging knees with Braden Fiske on the field.
Sean McVay told reporters after practice that he didn’t know the severity of it initially but Verse gave an update himself on social media Thursday afternoon. Verse posted on X/Twitter that he’s “fine” after leaving practice, seemingly in good spirits, too.
Considering how important Verse is to the Rams’ success, it’s great to hear his injury isn’t anything serious. That doesn’t mean he’s completely out of the woods yet or that he won’t miss any practice time, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be out very long, if at all.
The Rams will need Verse healthy if they’re going to make a run at a Super Bowl this season and he has Defensive Player of the Year aspirations of his own. If he can stay on the field, the sky’s the limit.
