Los Angeles Chargers overpower Detroit Lions with a commanding 34–7 win

The 2025 NFL preseason started in Canton, Ohio, where the Los Angeles Chargers crushed the Detroit Lions with a score of 34–7. Quarterback Trey Lance had a stellar debut under the guidance of new head coach Jim Harbaugh, passing for 120 yards and throwing two touchdowns.The Chargers’ defense was on fire, forcing five turnovers, which included interceptions by Nikko Reed, Tony Jefferson, and Myles Purchase, along with key plays from TeRah Edwards and Tre’Mon Morris-Brash.

Philadelphia Eagles secure narrow victory over Cincinnati Bengals

In Week 1, the Philadelphia Eagles barely edged out the Cincinnati Bengals, taking the win 34–27 in a high-scoring game. Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee shone brightly that night. He hit 20 of 25 passes for 252 yards and tossed three touchdowns in the first half.The Eagles scored with a 1-yard run by their quarterback, a 6-yard pass to Ainias Smith, and a 20-yard touchdown to Darius Cooper, who racked up 82 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was on point, completing 9 of 10 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

Baltimore Ravens combine rushing strength and explosive returns to secure win

The Baltimore Ravens started their preseason with a 24–16 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Keaton Mitchell was the star of the ground game, racking up 68 rushing yards and scoring a touchdown, while rookie LaJohntay Wester thrilled the audience with an 87-yard punt return for a touchdown.The game took a turn when Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had to leave early with a dislocated pinky, leading to Daniel Jones stepping in. Jones passed for 144 yards but couldn’t help the Colts make a comeback.

Las Vegas Raiders rally in second half to force tie with Seattle Seahawks

The final matchup of Week 1 between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks ended in a 23–23 tie. In the first half, Seattle looked like they had it all figured out, scoring touchdowns with George Holani and Tory Horton, plus a field goal from Jason Myers.But the Raiders fought back in the second half, with Dylan Laube and Shedrick Jackson scoring touchdowns and Cameron Carlson kicking three field goals. In the last few seconds, Seattle’s Jalan Gaines blocked a 55-yard field goal attempt that could have clinched the win, keeping the game tied.
