Defensive lineman Logan Hall turned heads during the 2024 season, recording a career-high 5.5 sacks and establishing himself as one of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ more dominant rushers. The key to his breakout? A simple but powerful mental adjustment: “I stopped overthinking and just went,” Hall said in a recent interview.
Hall, who spent his first two NFL seasons developing his technique and adjusting to the pro game, said that last year’s success came when he stopped trying to predict every snap and instead trusted his instincts.

“I used to get caught up in thinking too much. What the tackle might do, what the offense was planning,” Hall explained. After struggling in his first two NFL seasons to win consistently and finish, his 5.5 sacks marked a significant improvement over his previous best. Trusting his instincts and himself allowed him to showcase his ability to pressure quarterbacks consistently. Beyond the sacks, Hall’s increased pressure forced offenses to account for him on every play, opening opportunities for teammates and elevating the entire defense. As the Buccaneers gear up for the 2025 season, Hall’s growth is a bright spot in their defensive plans. Looking to live up to his former first-round pick expectations, Hall will need to continue the consistency that clicked in 2024.
With an improved pass rush and alongside Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey, who see double teams, Hall will have the opportunity to show his growth and plant his flag amongst the Buccaneers’ defensive line.
