Arizona Cardinals rookie cornerback Will Johnson recently opened up in a video produced by the Cardinals, saying that he is ready to prove “I’m the player I know I am” and detailing why is he playing with a chip on his shoulder this season. That chip just might get larger once he sees his photo in the new Madden NFL 26 video game. The Cardinals defensive back’s profile photo on the game when it was released wasn’t him. Instead of Arizona’s Will Johnson, a rookie out of Michigan, it appears to be former Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Will Johnson. Oops.

When is Madden 26 released?
The game will be released to the public on Aug. 14, but is already available to those who ordered some special editions. EA Sports, the maker of the game, apparently doesn’t know the player Cardinals rookie Will Johnson is, as discovered by Patrick Breen, an Arizona Republic photojournalist.
Johnson has a 75 overall rating in the game, third among the Cardinals’ defensive backs. He’s expected to play a big role on the team this season after being drafted with the No. 47 overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. If Johnson has his way, everyone will soon know who he is, even Madden NFL 26.
