The Los Angeles Chargers signed tight end Thomas Yassmin on Thursday, the team announced.
Yassmin (6-5, 251 pounds) entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Utah with the Denver Broncos following the 2024 NFL draft. The 25-year-old tight was born and raised in Australia and spent last season on Denver’s practice squad as part of the NFL’s international player pathway program.
Yassmin, who is yet to appear in a regular season game, was cut by the Broncos in May. He’ll now get an opportunity to continue his pro career with a division rival.
Elsewhere on the ex-Bronco front, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, edge defender Justin Hollins signed with the Buffalo Bills, tight end Nick Vannett signed with the Minnesota Vikings, linebacker K.J. Cloyd signed with the New York Giants and cornerback Faion Hicks worked out for the Tennessee Titans.
Denver will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 of NFL preseason on Saturday night (TV info).
