Nate Davis of USA TODAY has put out his annual record predictions for all 32 NFL teams. Pundits have been all over the place with the Pittsburgh Steelers so we were very excited to see where Davis has the Steelers this season.
To our surprise, Davis was quite optimistic when it comes to the Steelers. Well, sort of. Davis has the Steelers finishing in second place in the AFC North and finishing with an 11-6 record. However, Davis doesn’t think this team has enough talent to finally get a playoff win. The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since 2016.

Here’s what he had to say about Pittsburgh:
Optimism is riding high as new/old QB Aaron Rodgers assimilates with his new mates in the sweltering Latrobe, Pennsylvania, camp environment. There’s little question this roster is stacked, more so after a bold offseason plan executed by coach Mike Tomlin and GM Omar Khan. Whether it coalesces remain to be seen. Five of the Steelers’ first six opponents didn’t make the playoffs last year, perhaps a nice layout as Rodgers and Co. work out the kinks, though that stretch also includes a trip to Dublin. But four of the final six games are against 2024 division winners, and Pittsburgh collapsed down the stretch last season against strong competition. Still, it does feel like there’s enough ammo here to end the franchise’s run without a playoff win at nine years.
