New England Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf revealed his biggest takeaway from the 2025 NFL draft in a recent sit-down interview with commentator Scott Zolak and the Patriots’ social media team.

Wolf and the Patriots had an all-encompassing draft haul, selecting 11 picks and focusing on both sides of the ball. The team even addressed special teams by drafting kicker Andres Borregales and long snapper Julian Ashby in the later rounds.

When taking a step back, Wolf appears to be happy with the Patriots’ draft choices. However, one thing stood out to the Patriots’ executive in particular:

“Just the volume of players that we were able to add at spots that we felt could help us,” said Wolf. “Offense, defense and special teams were all addressed, and we feel like these guys can come in and help compete and help get us to where we need to go.”

The Patriots’ rookies still need time to develop, and we have yet to see how their games will actually translate at the NFL level.

With that said, it’s hard not to feel optimistic about the direction the team is headed in 2025. A favorable schedule, along with an improved roster, could lead to the Patriots trending upwards sooner rather than later.
