The Denver Broncos are set to kick off their 2025 preseason schedule today, so it’s a good time to remind fans (and pundits) how to pronounce select player names this fall.
Starting with three rookies — cornerback Jahdae Barron’s first name is pronounced zha-DAY, tight end Caleb Lohner’s last name is pronounced “LOW-ner” and defensive lineman Sai’vion Jones’ forename is pronounced “say-VEE-on,” according to the team.

Last season, running back Tyler Badie caused a bit of a stir when he announced that his surname is correctly pronounced “bah-DAY.” That is perhaps the most notable pronunciation clarification on this list.
