RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WGNS) — WGNS Radio and Big G TV are officially back under the Friday night lights, celebrating their 79th season of high school sports coverage with the launch of the 2025 State Farm Prep Football schedule.
Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins continue their on-air partnership for the 23rd season of football play-by-play—building on an impressive 28-year working relationship of local sports radio for Rutherford County. They’re joined once again by analyst Rod Edwards and Bill Hockenberry, who begins his second season with the sports broadcast crew.
Adding depth to the coverage, Danny Brewer and Clark Blair return to deliver live reports from other key games throughout Rutherford County, keeping fans informed on the broader landscape of high school action across the region.
WGNS continues to embrace innovation by offering live audio streaming worldwide and video broadcasts through platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and additional digital outlets.

🏈 Coaches Corner Returns for 32nd Season
The Prentice Alsup Heating & Air Coaches Corner kicks off its 32nd season this Saturday (August 16th) at 9 AM. Immediately following each Friday night game, fans can tune in for not only post-game insights but also a preview of the upcoming matchups. Hosted by Bryan Barrett, Jon Dinkins, Danny Brewer, and Bill Hockenberry, the weekly show invites high school football coaches into the WGNS & Big G TV studios to share strategy, updates, and their outlook for the next contest. Coverage continues throughout the playoffs and final games of the season for each team on the full suite of Good Neighbor Network channels.

Thursday evenings feature the return of Primetime Sports, airing at 6 PM beginning August 21st.
