Early in the third quarter of the Los Angeles Rams’ 2025 preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys, cornerback Cam Lampkin made a statement play to protect a 14-6 lead.
With Dallas facing second-and-7 from its own 47-yard line, quarterback Joe Milton rolled off play-action, avoided pressure, and launched a deep ball toward the end zone into double coverage intended for wide receiver Ryan Flournoy but instead was met by Lampkin, who came away with the Rams‘ first takeaway of the night.

Lampkin managed to stay stride-for-stride with Flournoy, positioning himself between the receiver and the ball before elevating to wrestle it away at the high point and ripped it out of Flournoy’s grasp for a clean interception.
The second-year corner halted a Cowboys drive that was nearing Rams territory and looking for its first touchdown of the night, and kept the momentum firmly in Los Angeles’ favor as the defense continued to set the tone in the second half.
