The New Orleans Saints finally get to play some football this Sunday, as they open the preseason against the L.A. Chargers — the former team of both Kellen Moore and Brandon Staley.
While the preseason is typically viewed as an audition for players on the fringe of the roster, things feel a bit different this year in New Orleans. The quarterback battle between Spencer Rattler, Tyler Shough, and — to a lesser extent — Jake Haener, will take center stage over the next three games. These matchups will likely determine who leads the offense out of the huddle Week 1 against Arizona.
