The Bucs watched RB Rachaad White leave Saturday’s game early with a groin injury. We’ll see how long that’s expected to sideline him. But regardless of when he returns, it sounds like we should expect RB Sean Tucker to get the ball more.
What They’re Saying
HCÂ Todd Bowles on Sunday:Â “Sean brings us another explosive runner. He’s a game breaker for us, really. He’s got very good contact balance, he can break a lot of tackles, he can naturally find holes. He’s very fast, but he looks so smooth doing it that you really can’t tell until he gets into the open field. I keep telling the guys on offense we’re got to get him the ball more.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Pretty strong words from the head coach. Gotta think brand-new OCÂ Josh Grizzard — in his first OCÂ shot at any level — will take heed (unless he strongly disagrees for some reason).
White remained an effective receiver despite losing work to Bucky Irving last season. He also maintained a decent rushing role, but there’s room for Tucker to eat into that even when White’s healthy.
Tucker, of course, announced himself to fantasy managers in Week 6 last season with the following stat line at New Orleans:
14-136-1 rushing3-56-1 receiving
That came with White out. Any time that White misses can only help Tucker’s potential exposure. And even Irving doesn’t appear built to handle a true feature role over a full season (192 pounds at the 2024 Scouting Combine).
Tucker makes for a nice stash at the end of fantasy drafts across formats.
