Former Washington Huskies superstar running back Myles Gaskin has found a new home in the NFL.

After making a name for himself with the Miami Dolphins, who selected him in the seventh round of the 2019 draft and saw him tally 1,355 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground, along with 701 receiving yards and 6 scores, before he was released ahead of the 2023 season. On Saturday, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens, his third team in the last three years.

Gaskin has also spent time with the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings, and could wind up as an important preseason contributor with a chance to make the Ravens’ 53-man roster.

With veterans Derrick Henry and Justice Hill not expected to suit up in the preseason, and Keaton Mitchell still recovering from a severe knee injury that he suffered early in the 2024 season, Baltimore’s depth at running back is very thin. Undrafted free agent signee Marcus Major Jr. was also spotted in a non-contact jersey at practice after suffering a concussion.

That could lead to Gaskin taking a significant amount of carries when the Ravens suit up against the Dallas Cowboys for their second of three preseason games on Saturday, August 16.

If he can make the 53-man roster, he’ll join another Washington alum, starting right tackle Roger Rosengarten, as the Ravens look to win their third-straight AFC North division title.
