There was a mix of good and bad on the injury front for the Green Bay Packers to start Monday’s practice, the team’s first since Saturday’s preseason-opening loss to the New York Jets.

According to Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com, Matt LaFleur’s team returned running backs MarShawn Lloyd and Emanuel Wilson, offensive tackle Rasheed Walker and cornerback Kamal Hadden to practice in various capacities on Monday, while safety Zayne Anderson (knee) and running back Jalen White were out with injuries suffered on Saturday and cornerback Isaiah Dunn is new to the injury report with a knee injury.

Anderson, who started at safety in the preseason opener, injured his knee while attempting to tackle Jets running back Braelon Allen in the first half. Coach Matt LaFleur said Anderson will miss some time in camp, but the injury is not expected to be long-term. Per Hodkiewicz, Anderson walked out to practice on Monday, further suggesting the knee injury is minor.

The running backs are getting healthy, finally. Lloyd and Wilson — two good bets for the 53-man roster — both were able to avoid major lower-body injuries during the early portions of padded practice and could be available later this week when the Packers face the Indianapolis Colts in a joint practice on Thursday and preseason game on Saturday. Lloyd is coming off a groin/core injury, while Wilson suffered a bone bruise to his knee.

Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Walker didn’t do any 11-on-11 work during practice Monday, leaving Jordan Morgan to continue playing left tackle. Walker, the starter at left tackle each of the last two seasons, is returning from a groin injury.

A potentially significant injury situation to monitor: Jordan Love had his left thumb wrapped during practice on Monday, although he practiced in full and didn’t appear limited by the issue, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Love, of course, is right-handed, so a left thumb injury wouldn’t be in the end of the world. But any injury to the starting quarterback — especially after last season’s injury issues — is significant.

The Packers are back on the practice field for an open practice in Green Bay on Tuesday morning. LaFleur will answers questions from the media before the practice.
