The Commanders signed Bassey on Monday.
Bassey will join the Commanders prior to the team’s upcoming preseason matchup with the Bengals on Aug. 18. The cornerback will help fill the void of Kevon Seymour (undisclosed) in Washington’s secondary after Seymour was placed on injured reserve Monday.
