After making their preseason debut over the weekend, the Atlanta Falcons returned to the practice field on Monday morning. It’s the team’s ninth open practice, and the last day before joint practices with the Tennessee Titans begin on Tuesday.

According to Falcons reporter Terrin Waack, eight players, including wide receiver Darnell Mooney (shoulder), return specialist Jamal Agnew and cornerback Clark Phillips III. were absent from Monday’s practice. Mooney was hurt on Day 1 of training camp but the team hopes he can return by Week 1.

Running back Carlos Washington Jr. was also missing at practice. Washington was inactive for Friday’s loss to the Detroit Lions. Atlanta’s running game struggled overall in the team’s preseason opener, rushing for just 22 total yards.
