JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (KATV) — Former Arkansas kicker Cam Little kicked what would be a record-setting 70-yard field goal for the Jacksonville Jaguars in a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Although the kick will not count for the record books given the fact that it is a preseason game, it is still an impressive feat, as the kick would not only set an NFL record, but a record for longest kick at any level of organized football.
The current official holder of the record is Justin Tucker who kicked in a 66-yard field goal against the Baltimore Ravens in 2021.
Little appeared as the Razorbacks’ starting placekicker for all three of his seasons in Fayetteville. He would forgo his senior year to declare for the draft in December of 2023.
In the 2024 NFL Draft, he was drafted 212th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft at the age of 20, making him the youngest kicker to ever be drafted to the league.
Maybe Little will get the chance this season to kick from that far again and actually set the record.
